jaebilityAnd lo I have beaten Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. And lo I have started Dragon Age 2. And lo I'm loving it.
Awakenings was... not as amazing as Origins. Good, certainly, and added depth to the story, but it came with serious flaws. And bugs. But I loved Anders and Sigrun, and Ogrhen had some hilarious dialog. And that little scene with Ailstair at the beginning - he called my F!Cousland a minx <3. All in all, it was an adequate expansion. But considering how goddamn unbelievable fantastic Origins was, it was a bit of a let down.
DA2, however, is awesome. The combat and stat systems have been streamlined, and having a chest to put extra supplies in is so helpful. And I'm loving my team so far. Anders? <3 Aveline? <3 Isabella? So much <3. And Varric... rowl. Seeing the effects of my DA game in this one gives me shivers. And it's so gratifying to hear about my Warden, what a hero she is.
Pete says I get crazy eyes when I talk about DA. Which is entirely possible. I have put into about 80 hours between the 3 games in the past two weeks. Look I can stop anytime, ok? But I don't want to. At least not before Hawke gets some romance.
But tonight Pete has claim on the XBox for LA Noire. Which I have to admit is pretty sweet.
