Sep. 25th, 2008 07:41 pmI'm on the final trial of the third Phoenix Wright game. Although the early games are definitely full of teh gay, I think this one takes the cake for ho yay. Pete's favorite part is exclaimed by Detective Gumshoe: "I love weinies! I love their juicy tenderness!" Personally, I love the scene that I just played this morning: after an earthquake, Phoenix runs after Edgeworth and finds him sulking in a garden; he's there to hug it out with him. Come on! It's awesome! The whole Edgeworth flying back in the middle of the night to be by Phoenix's side... Taking his place as a defense attorney... Calling him "partner" - It's enough to make this fangirl squeal. In public. On the subway. Which is where I play the game. I can't wait for Perfect Prosecutor! Edgeworth is such a deliciously cranky bastard.
I hope Franziska's in the new game, too. She's a hilariously adorable character - I'd love to see more of her. Same goes for Maya and Pearl. I was really disappointed that they weren't even mentioned in Apollo Justice.
Phoenix/Edgeworth is definitely my favorite couple of the game, but Franziska/Larry makes me giggle in girlish delight. Also, a random attack of the plot bunnies occurred on the subway the other day: Mia/Gumshoe, comfort!sex. Mia's still reeling from the death of Diego, Gunshoe's poor... It practically writes itself! Maya/Franziska is another cute possibility. And then there's Godot/everyone. Always a classic.
