Ganondorf startled out of sleep and blinked in befuddled surprise. His reflexes were dulling in his old age; it took a second or two before his body and mind fully awoke and shook off the cobwebs of sleep. It wasn't his fault for dozing, after all those hours of romping in bed even his stamina needed replenishing. "Damned if I know."
The answer hadn't satisifed Malon and she frowned before tugging on his ear lobe. "Does it make for better hearing? Or are they round so sand deosn't get in them?"
He swatted away her hand and rolled onto his other side, presenting her with his naked back. "Go back to sleep."
Feeling contrite, Malon refused to lie back down and play the role of the appeasing mistress. "Maybe its because your race is cursed." Her shrewd eyes narrowed victoriously as his back stiffened; the insult had damaged, if only a minute bit. "Maybe it's a reminder."
