I like your writing because it isn't boring, and it doesn't follow a predictable path. You also have such detail - I can't quite find the words. When one can almost feel the knobs of Dan's bony spine, or the stubble on Ben's chin - you as a writer have managed to pull the reader in completely.
My own words fail me. I can't explain that better.
