It hadn't been completely Miyako's idea, but Daisuke had to concede that without her help, his plan wouldn't have gotten off the ground. It was with her long, talented fingers and her devious and quick wit that he was able to make the change from regular old Daisuke to Daisuke! superboy of wonder and awesome.

Last year Ken had made the first move and had pressed a bouquet of pink roses with a gift card to Daisuke's favorite music store nestled deep inside the flowers. Of course Daisuke had been thankful, but still he cursed Ken for stealing Valentine's Day. He had to wait for White Day to return the favor and Daisuke had always hated waiting. This year, however, Daisuke was determined to give Ken his present before Ken beat him to it.

It couldn't be any stupid gift, though. It had to be something so incredible that Ken would swoon and maybe, if Daisuke was lucky, admit defeat to Daisuke's superior intellect. Naturally the latter victory was much less important than making Ken happy, but Daisuke couldn't deny that he enjoyed competing with the gorgeous Ichijoiji. Besides, sometime's his boyfriend needed to be stirred up a little, for his own good.

So on February 14th, he invited Ken over for dinner (at least, that's what the invitation said). He put the finishing touches on the present, thanked Miyako (who was miles away on a date with Hikari, but hey, it's the thought that counts), and waited patiently for Ken to arrive.

Ken, punctual as always, knocked on the door precisely at the allotted time. He had indulged Daisuke's strange request; it was simply to hard to deny Daisuke anything. With his brown eyes big and his lower lip stuck out in a pout, Daisuke could charm the moon from the sky. Thus when Daisuke had presented him with a prim envelope, Ken had obliged him and followed the directions. To Ken: Come to my place at 6pm. Come alone. And don't bring any Valentine's Day presents or else. Love, Your Secret Admirer. Ken had been confused with the signature, but sometimes it was easier to simply accept Daisuke's idiosyncrasies than to question them.

After a handful of seconds passed, Ken knocked again. From inside he could hear the heavy sound of someone running. He grinned and shook his head. Trust Daisuke to be late to his own party. "Daisuke?" He called as he rapped a third time upon the door, "Open up. It's five past six already."

Ken heard more thumping footsteps and finally a click as the lock was unbolted. The door flung open and Ken stared with mouth agape at what welcomed him.

Daisuke's hair had been dyed a bright pink. More surprisingly, however, he was naked with the exception of what looked to be paper which was wrapped around him from the knees to the waist. The ensemble was tied with a red ribbon bow.

Ken gaped. And then boggled. Then he gawked, ogled, and leered.

Daisuke grinned, immensely pleased with himself. Coyly he wiggled his hips, a movement which brought a delightfully attractive flush to Ken's cheeks. "Happy Valentine's Day, Ken!" He exclaimed before leaning forward to kiss his boyfriend. "Like it?"

"Dai-" Ken swallowed hard and tore his eyes away from the very inappropiate place at which they had previously been fixed. "Dai-"

"Get it? I'm like the roses you gave me last year! See? I dyed my hair." He laughed suddenly and pulled Ken inside the apartment. "I dyed all my hair," he confided with a wink, "And just like you put a second gift for me in the roses, there's something for you nestled inside the pink-"

Ken slammed the door behind them.
