That day the sky was so blue that when I stared up at it I felt like the ocean was above me and that I was falling. I told Ken and he laughed (with me, not at me) but held my hand anyway. We were at the fair, eating ice cream and picking out rides. We pooled our money and decided that the ferris wheel was a must, as well the roller coaster and the mirror maze. The day was over in a blink but that’s okay, it’ll come back next year. I’m saving my money so I can bring Ken on the Lovers’ Swan Boats.
