I am perpetually saddened by how many blank looks I get when I randomly sing lines of that song.

I know! I'm glad you're a fan; it's such an overlooked song. It's always been one of my favorites - Paul with his pseudo-Southern drawl, John's slow harmonica in the background, and some of the greatest lines on the album.
