Missed porn_battle, dammit. There was no way I could come up with a coherent sentence, let alone story, last week. And nausea and gallons of snot general aren't aphrodisiacs - Least not for me.
But! An incredibly awesome person wrote an incredibly awesome Coraline/Wybie story based on one of my prompts: "I GIVE YOU LOTS." <3 <3 <3 Words cannot describe how deliriously happy I was to find it. Eeeeee it's so good!
In other fanfiction news, Herongale is re-writing "Reflections."
I'm just going to give that a second to sink in.
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD.
"Reflections" was the story for me. It introduced me to slash, a concept that had never occured to my empty fifteen-year-old brain. It completely changed the way I viewed characters and their relationships, the way I write about love, the way I write. I'd run home from school, log in through the painfully slow dial-up AOL service we used, and frantically check FF.net for updates. I daydreamed about it during class, I obsessively re-read each chapter, I started writing my own Daisuke/Ken stories. I started writing "Fine Art," which I'm still working on now jesus christ.

"And me!" TK called cheerfully from his position in the large tree from which he was scouting the area. "Daisuke, tell you what. I'll be your date!"
A groan erupted from Daisuke. "No."
"Oh come on." TK dropped out of the tree down into the path, brushing off his knees and deploying a disturbing grin. "I'll wear my best suit. It'll be hot."
