The dance was beautiful and made Auron hungry for something that he'd hadn't desired in a long time. A young man with a patch over one eye stood at the side of the waltz, violin in hand that sang the melody of night. The dancers were a kalidoscope of girls and men; whirling skirts and sparkling jewels made Auron dizzy. The women pulled their already short silks up to their thighs, making their dance as sexual as it was sensual. Those who did not move with the music made a circle around the specticle clapping, singing, and tapping their feet in time with the music.
Out of the madness a face appeared, wearing a chesire cat smile. Rikku, (barely) clad in lace and ribbons, pulled at his arm. "Come, dance with us?"
He frowned up at her and remained in his seat. No."
Her smile didn't faulter. Instead of being dismayed from his rejection she threw back her head and laughed, causing the beads and bangles to jingle and jangle. Her hair was done up with tiny silver baubles braided in and the loose tendrils that escaped brushed like gold across her face. She planted her hands on her hips and beckoned with her body. "Don't spoil the fun Auron, dance with me. You can't reject an invitation from a siren."
