Lily Evans wished that she could have fallen in love with A Good Man, like her crazy, bitter, still-single aunt advised her. A Good Man would not turn her quill into a phallus during Potions Class, nor would he make air blast upwards from the stairs and lift her robes up, and he would certainly never prance about the halls wearing *her* knickers that he had stolen during a panty-raid. James Potter, the arse, was A Bad Boy.

Remus Lupin, now there was an outstanding gentleman! He held the door open, he lended out spare quills, and he had even picked up her tab at Hodsmead. It was a bloody shame the Remus was a puff.

And it was a bloody shame that James was not. If he had been a fairy, maybe he wouldn't have wormed his way in Lily's heart. But he had, Lily sighed hopelessly, and now she was stuck with him.
